How we work in Jodhpur.
Jodhpur is built from its own sandstone, and the best new homes here acknowledge that rather than hide it. We like to keep the shell honest — a stone wall left visible, deep window reveals kept deep — and bring in contemporary joinery, lighting and furniture around it.
It is also one of the hottest cities we work in. Shaded courtyards, cross-ventilation, cool underfoot materials and ceilings that manage heat are the starting point of every Jodhpur plan.

Stone as the ground, not the decoration
Local sandstone and lime are treated as the structure of the scheme. Joinery, textiles and lighting are layered lightly on top so the room stays calm.

Heat-led planning
Orientation, shading, insulation and ventilation are designed before the finishes are chosen. A beautiful room that is unbearable at 3 pm in May is a failed room.

Our own designers and fitters run the project. Joinery is made in our workshop and installed in planned windows; travel and logistics are quoted separately and up front.

- We take on renovation of older houses where the brief is contemporary living inside an existing shell. Conservation work on listed heritage properties needs a specialist and we will refer you on.
- What flooring works best for Jodhpur heat?
- Stone — local sandstone, Kota or marble — kept unpolished or honed rather than high-gloss stays cooler and safer underfoot than tile or wood, and suits the city.
- How many site visits should I expect?
- Survey, one or two design-stage visits, installation windows and handover, with weekly photographic reporting between them. The schedule is written into the programme before work begins.
